Skills Festivals are full day events which will help you reflect on your learning over the year, plan for the future and develop key skills. Attending this day will provide the three learning activities you need to complete the Warwick Skills Portfolio Award. Or you can choose three from many of the activities listed below. For a full list of opportunities open to you, follow the links that relate to your level of study.
All our workshops run for 2 hours. We also list online opportunities and relevant workshops offered by other departments which might have different lengths.
There are multiple dates for each workshop, so if one is fully booked you may be able to enrol on a different date. Sometimes, students who have booked do not turn up, so you may also want to arrive at the workshop you are interested in even if you were unable to secure a place; we cannot guarantee that you will be able to take part but, at the tutor’s discretion, you might be able to join on the day.
We might sometimes also be able to arrange bespoke delivery of the Student Careers and Skills’ workshops listed here for groups of students (either organised by students themselves or their departments). If you have a group of at least 8 students who commit to attend a workshop, please contact us at email@example.com
You will be emailed the workshop slides after you have attended. If you require them beforehand for accessibility reasons please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Many of the listed activities can be used towards the Warwick Skills Portfolio Award. The award is available online and open for enrolment from October to December each year.
Please arrive on time as a sign of respect to your fellow attendees and the workshop tutor. At the tutor’s discretion, students who arrive more than five minutes late may be directed to sign up to a future workshop. For more general information see our Frequently Asked Questions
