Pitching your ideas

Pitching is about communicating your ideas in a short time and getting others to agree to an action point. Although the concept of elevator pitch was made popular in business environments, pitching your ideas can be a useful tool in many settings. Pitching is getting more popular in policy development and academia. And in general, it can help you achieve your goals.

This workshop will help cover:

  • Why pitching?
  • Pitch structure and presentation
  • Your pitch – idea, writing and practice
  • Being a constructively critical audience

You’ll be asked to make a short presentation in front of a small group. If you have any concerns about this, please contact skills@warwick.ac.uk
