Skills Festival

These FREE sessions will help you:

  • Think about where you want to be in a year’s time
  • Start planning your actions
  • Develop key skills for your academic, personal and/or professional life

We will offer parallel sessions, so you can tailor the day to your needs.

The Skills Festival is open to all taught students (undergraduates and masters).


Half way through the academic year; reward yourself with a day focused on your personal development!

09.00 – 09.30 Registration (tea and coffee provided)
09.30 – 11.00 Imagine your future
11.00 – 11.10 Break (tea and coffee provided)
11.10 – 12.40 Confidence and initiative Being a researcher
12.40 – 13.30 Lunch (not provided)
13.30 – 15.00 Exam revision Planning and managing projects
15.00 –15.10 Break (tea and coffee provided)
15.10 – 17.00 Action planning

Limited places, a maximum of 30 places per workshop are available. Minimum of 8 places to be taken up to make the workshops viable.

Attendance to the festival will enable you to complete the Warwick Skills Portfolio Award.

Please ensure that you are able to attend the whole day; if you would like to attend the sessions individually, these are available again as 2-hour workshops during the 2018/19 academic year.
