Structuring your Dissertation

For some of you, your dissertation may be the longest piece of writing you’ve ever produced. Working with long texts requires careful attention to the internal structure of your writing so that it makes sense to your audience. This session will encourage you to examine and think about different structures for your dissertation, pay attention to signposting, and finish by creating a plan for your dissertation.

Please book your chosen date below. Please note: due to room availability over the summer we have very limited capacity for these sessions. Please book early to avoid disappointment. If you can no longer attend please cancel your session online so that we can offer your place to someone else on the waiting list.

Workshops scheduled:

All our sessions include an element of group or peer to peer work. The dissertation drop ins will include music and video. You are encouraged to ask questions and contribute throughout the session, or to speak privately to the tutor at the end.

We welcome students with visible and non-visible disabilities, specific learning differences, or other complex needs, in all of our workshops. The rooms we have been given to use over the summer are smaller than usual, please check here for room information and layout.

We encourage you to get in touch if you have any specific access requirements, or need more information about the content and delivery method of a specific workshop. We will do our best to ensure that you are able to attend.
