Organising conferences, small events & seminars (A5R)

It is increasingly common for postgraduate researchers to organise a departmental seminar, conference or other event during your research degree.

This workshop will take you through the whole process, equipping you with the knowledge and expertise to organise your own event.

By the end of the workshop you will have:

  • understood the importance of appropriate goal-setting, planning, teamworking, researching, budgeting, and evaluating when organising events
  • considered how to apply the above skills in a University environment.

Who is it for? All postgraduate research students. To register for this workshop, you must be enrolled on (or recently graduated from) one of the following degrees: PhD, MPhil, Masters by Research, EngD, EdD, professional doctorate.
