Revision, proofreading, editing (W12R)

The work of revision, although it can feel difficult and tiresome, is a crucial stage of the academic writing process. It can be seen as an act of cleaning, polishing and re-vitalising the written product so as to demonstrate the author’s confidence and competence in academic communication, as well as mastery of the topic and respect for his/her readers.

This workshop provides several specific tools which aid text revision at a number of essential levels, including: spelling, language, grammar, coherence, ideological transition, structure, terminology and referencing.
