Find out which employers will be attending and to BOOK A PLACE go to: PhD employer networking event 2017
This is a reschduled event that was originally taking place on 1st of March 2017. It was postponed due to low student bookings – if possible, please book to attend in order to ensure it goes ahead.
Come and have some drinks and nibbles and meet employers who can give you information on the types of opportunities available to PhD students/graduates and how you can build on the skills you have learnt during your PhD.
This event is for ALL PhD students, regardless of where you are in your research. It is not a careers fair recruitment event, it is a networking event to help you practice your skills and find out more information about the world of work outside of academia.
For those students that are considering moving out of academia, it is an excellent chance to make contacts and explore your options. However, the event is for all PhD students, regardless of career aspirations.
It is an opportunity to improve your networking skills, and for those who want to continue in academia, to make links with industrial and commercial employers that may be useful in your future career.
You can also view employer informatoin by using the Careers Fair App and viewing the PhD event details - please note, you don't have to download the App but you may find it a useful tool. The employers attending are also listed on the event pages within myAdvantage.
