Get active in a supportive community

We know taking the initial steps towards getting active, or finding the time and energy to stay active can be challenging.

That's why our Get Active Buddy Scheme is designed to help you get active in a structured way, meet other people who are also new or retuning to activity and provide that bit of extra support and motivation.

What does it cost?

Member and non-member £30

We want these courses to be as inclusive as possible, that's why it's one price for everyone. Each course price includes all the facility access, equipment and instruction you'll need.

How do I book?

Members and non-members can book online to secure your course place. Find your sport below for your booking link.

You can also book by calling us or visiting the Sports Centre.

We offer different sports each term so if you don't see what you're looking for let us know what you'd like to do.

How it works

Each course runs over nine weeks, including eight activity sessions and two workshops - a social introductory session and a celebratory review session.

After each session there will be a social at Café Bar in the Arts Centre.

Couch 2 5K

A running course designed to get you off the couch and gradualy work you up to running 5K.

Netball Refreshers

For those new or returning to the game, includes an introduction to the basic skills and rules.

Football that outlaws all running and allows minimal contact between players.
