Hi, my name is Jess and I am a Level two swimming teacher and Swimming Coach. I have been teaching and coaching swimming for 9 years now beginning my career on a placement year in Australia as part of my university degree.
I began competitive swimming at the age of 7 joining my local swimming club and worked hard to compete in regional and national competitions. Upon turning 18 I moved to continue my swimming at Loughborough University and spent a placement year in Australia where injury led me to swim coaching alongside my swim teaching qualifications.
Since then I have coached a number of swimmers to county and regional success, across Essex and Warwickshire. I have also taken part in County & Regional Pathway Development Days for competitive swimmers within Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
I enjoy both teaching and coaching and believe swimming is the best sport anyone could possibly get involved with. My passion is to ensure that swimmers enjoy their time in the water and develop new skills and confidence whether this involves putting their face in the water for the first time or a competitive swimmer beating their PB’s and setting new goals.
