Spotlight on Societies
Joining a society is worthwhile for many reasons. There are many to choose from which means you can try out lots of new things. As well as meeting new people and having fun, you will be developing new skills. Often taking part in societies enables you to build team-working, communication and problem-solving skills – particularly if you decide you’d like to be involved in a society committee or exec team. Skills developed during your involvement with societies all help build on your employability and are highly regarded by employers as a way to demonstrate your values, commitment and abilities.
