The University provides advice, guidance and mentoring to students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. The support is funded through the Disabled Student Allowances.
What kind of support is provided?
The support is organised to suit individual requirements and it is confidential and discrete. We will meet with you and together decide the type of support that would be of most benefit to you. For example, you can access:
- an early arrival induction programme
- support liaising with academic and other departments
- exam arrangements
- study skills support
- academic mentoring for help with organising time and work, transition to University, problem solving, managing interaction with other students
- mental health mentoring through the Mental Health and Wellbeing team for help with practical strategies of managing anxiety, low mood and social situations
- on campus accommodation
