      <title>Digital Tools for Researchers - free course</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;This free, online-only course aimed primarily at research students and early career researchers will introduce a variety of essential online resources to enhance how you conduct, manage and communicate your research. The course is now open for enrolment, and &lt;strong&gt;will run from 11 January 2016 through to 26 March 2016.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;By the end of the course you will have:&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;ul&gt; 
 &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;"&gt;Gained hands-on experience of using a range of digital tools&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
 &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;"&gt;Enhanced your online identity across different platforms&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
 &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;"&gt;Learnt more about using social networking to enhance your academic practice&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
 &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;"&gt;Explored web publishing as a means to disseminate your research&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
 &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;"&gt;Reflected on the usefulness of different digital tools for your own academic practice&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
 &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;"&gt;Engaged with key current issues and debates relating to digital technology in the academic context&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;/ul&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;The course convenors are David Beck (IT Services and History), Yvonne Budden (Library), and Annie Bryan (Student Careers and Skills).&lt;/p&gt;
