'Gaining Insight and Experience: My Week as a Runner on the Zoraide Film Set in Lucca, Italy' by Anfisa Semenova

This week FTV student Anfisa Semenova had a unique opportunity to work as a runner on the film set of Zoraide, a 9 Muse Films production. Read about her experiences below:

Shot in Lucca, Italy, being a runner on this film was an incredibly interesting and useful hands-on experience as I got an insight into the inner and outer workings of a professional film set, as well as learn about the production process and delve into it myself. Zoraide was a very special and important project to undertake because it is based on a true story that took place during the Second World War in the Tuscan hills of Compignano. The film aims to tell a harsh reality by exploring the ability of children to interpret the world with innocent eyes and with the curiosity of a pure heart. It was a pleasure to work alongside such a talented crew and contribute to the making of the film. As the post-production process begins, I can't wait to see the finished product with the premiere set for September 2024!

Clothes strewn across the floor, food rotting in the fridge and bare feet dancing in the kitchen. Liv and Ruth are far from perfect, but they know how to have fun, and that’s good enough for them.

They don’t always see eye to eye on things, but they do agree on one absolute certainty: they were made for each other. Sisters; soulmates; saintly sinners that were placed on this earth to find each other, and nothing and no one could ever come between them - except maybe their boyfriends.

Trashed is a story of friendship, faith and fucking-up over and over again.
