      <title>Angela Davis wins Womens History Network Book Prize</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Many congratulations to Angela Davis who has won the 2012 WHNBP:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Women&amp;rsquo;s History Network Book Prize&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
   The winner of this year's competition is Angela Davis's &lt;em&gt;Modern Motherhood: Women and Family in England, 1945-2000 &lt;/em&gt;(Manchester University Press, 2012). Congratulations to Angela for a book that the judges commend as 'a fascinating survey of women's experience of motherhood', 'eminently readable', 'a solid and thoughtful study', 'an outstanding piece of oral history', and 'ambitiously wide ranging'.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The prize will be presented at the WHN conference in Sheffield on Friday 30 August 2012&lt;/p&gt;
