Bruce Forsyth was a member of our Project Management Committee in the early years of the construction and operation of XMaS, indeed he was responsible for us adopting &quot;XMaS&quot; as the name of the facility. Bruce was trained in the Crystallographic section of the Cavendish Laboratory and went on to become an internationally prominent neutron scatterer and x-ray diffractionist.</p> <p>His knowledge and expertise helped us to build XMaS the right way for our users over its many years of successful operation.
