Found a good book in Google Books that we could all use for the Lit Review. I found it quite useful, so have a look for yourself and see what you think.

DD Part For Presentation

Hope all is well, here is my part for the poster:

What I Have Done:

Modelled a one dimensional representation of a basic human lung, assuming a symmetrical lung with laminar fluid flow and taking into account resistance to airflow.

Most of the researcch came from Journals written by Mauroy.

What I Plan To Do:

Improve the one dimensional model to take into account the effects of pulmonary elasticity, assymetry and turbulent fluid flow.

With more research the model can be further developed so users can isolate specific pathways through the lung and find useful data regarding the pathway.

ALSO I could provide graphs representing data from the current 1-D model. Possibly how reynolds number changes with generation? Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers,

Paper to be looked at before Sunday for the 1D modelling team

Must at least look at this before sunday.

Charlie if you could have a proper read through it as it has allot of refferences since published think it could be the one if you know what i mean...

Dhillon not at important but may discuss how the angle changes effect the 1D model you are constructing

Computational Fluid Dynamics Paper

First couple of pages are a must read for anyone trying to get to grips with what exactly we are doing, also the benefits and how we should go about achieving the goal.

There are also some good references on the actual tree plotting method that we should probably have a look at.

Describes both the 1D and 3D models that we should be using
