The TRANSFORM team have published a scoping review in Global Mental Health. The review focuses on the efficacy of combining traditional healing and modern psychiatry in global mental healthcare.

Neeru Khera won Best Animated Film at the 7th Haryana International Film Festival for the film Hold My Hand. Neeru is the CEO of The Creative Gypsy, long term collaborator with Professor Swaran Singh and co investigator on the TRANSFORM project.

A methods workshop on ethnography in global health research was facilitated by anthropologists Dr Bulbul Siddiqi (North South University, Bangladesh) and Dr Ursula Read (University of Essex) at the University of Warwick on 9-10^th May 2024.

Dr Bulbul Siddiqi an Associate Professor in Anthropology at the Department of Political Science and Sociology at North South University, Bangladesh and the qualitative research lead in Bangladesh for TRANSFORM Work Package has been awarded a visiting fellowship by the Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Warwick

TRANSFORM attend the IUAES-WAU World Anthropology Conference in Delhi

TRANSFORM team members Dr Bulbul Siddiqi and Dr Ursula Read hosted a panel at the IUAES-WAU World Anthropology Conference at the University of Delhi, India on 18^th October 2023. The title of the panel was The importance of not knowing: reimagining the role of traditional and faith healing in mental health care in uncertain times.

WMS Postgraduate Research Symposium 2023

On Wednesday 21st June, all three TRANSFORM PhD students attended the annual Warwick Medical School Postgraduate Research Symposium.

The Symposium is a monitoring point for ALL PGR students and provides second and third year PGR students with an opportunity to present their research and gain feedback from an academic audience.

Dr Jilka has had a paper published in JMIR Infodemiology.

The paper explores how Dementia misconceptions on Twitter can have detrimental or harmful effects and how machine learning (ML) models codeveloped with carers provide a method to identify these and help in evaluating awareness campaigns.
