As this article discusses, &lt;em&gt;Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future&lt;/em&gt;, and its host comic &lt;em&gt;The Eagle&lt;/em&gt; provides a fascinating insight into the observatory at this moment of transition, as well as introducing children to the key features of a working observatory.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
