      <title>Celebrating women and girls in science</title>

Over 180 female students from local primary and secondary schools came together to discover and celebrate the achievements of women, past and present, who have helped forge a path for today&#8217;s scientists, engineers, and technicians.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>WMG&#8217;s AI Day connects students with industry innovation</title>

&lt;p&gt;With AI rapidly transforming industries and reshaping research, innovation, and skills development worldwide, the event was spearheaded by Dr Awinder Kaur, Head of Digital Technologies and Machine Intelligence across all education programmes at WMG. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Following discussions with representatives from NVIDIA and Dell about WMG&#8217;s AI vision, Dr Kaur identified the need for a strategic academia-industry engagement event focusing solely on AI. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Developing the UK's engineering and manufacturing talent</title>

&lt;p&gt;Welcomed by WMG&#8217;s Dr Benjamin Silverstone, Head of Skills Policy and Strategy, the delegation consisted of Katherine Green, DWP&#8217;s new Director General; Gemma Marsh, Deputy CEO of Skills England; and Mark Foley, Deputy Director of Work-based Skills at DWP. Their visit was an opportunity to showcase WMG&#8217;s role in supporting skills development by connecting industry with academia through world-leading education programmes and apprenticeships.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>WMG alumni return to celebrate 60 years of Warwick and 45 years of WMG</title>

&lt;p&gt;The gathering, hosted by Professor &lt;a href="https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/wmg/about/our-people/profile?id=0170856"&gt;Kerry Kirwan&lt;/a&gt;, Dean of WMG, who is also an alumnus of the department, brought together graduates to reflect on WMG&#8217;s evolution, global reach, and vision for the future. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Alumni were offered a firsthand look at WMG&#8217;s cutting-edge research and student-led projects. Presentations included Professor Siddartha Khastgir, Head of Safe Autonomy, on sustainable mobility and autonomous systems; and Chief Engineer Dr James Meredith, who showcased WMG&#8217;s hydrogen-powered race car fuelled by sewage, &lt;a href="https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/wmg/news-and-events/news/wmgnews/waste2race_sewage_powered_car" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Waste2Race&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Students from &lt;a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/warwick-moto/posts/?feedView=all"&gt;Warwick Moto&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href="https://www.warwickracing.org/"&gt;Warwick Racing&lt;/a&gt;, and the &lt;a href="https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/eng/meng/submarine/"&gt;Warwick Submarine&lt;/a&gt; team also explained more about their projects and the hands-on, industry-focused learning that continues to define the WMG experience. Alumni were invited to share memories of projects, teamwork, and late nights whilst, reconnecting with colleagues and former classmates. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
