Dr Christopher Strelluf Expert Comment on TikTok accent & Likeability of English accents

Dr Christopher Strelluf’s expert comment has been featured in BBC News, Indy100, Yahoo!,Ladbible, Metro, and Fox News in a piece on the voice people use when they create TikToks, and how it may encourage the continued spread of those particular linguistic features.

Dr Strelluf also provided expert comment on stories about the likeability of English accents around the world. These were featured in The Travel Magazine, ATV Network Today, and The Times (South Africa).

100% of students gave their overall satisfaction with our undergraduate courses as 95.2% according to this year’s NSS survey with overall satisfaction reaching 100% on our BA Language Culture and Communication degree.

Linguistics has moved up the rankings to 8th in the UK according to The Complete University Guide 2019 rankings. The University of Warwick is ranked 9th this year, maintaining its record of having never finished outside of the UK’s top ten universities in this table.

The Times/Sunday Times’ Good University Guide 2018 has ranked Lingusitics (8th) as one of the 22 subjects at the University of Warwick in the UK’s top 10 for their field, The news follows the Good University Guide naming Warwick 9th in the UK, with the joint 4th highest paid graduates in the UK and the favourite choice of recruiters for companies listed in this year’s list of The Times’ Top 100 Graduate Employers, and the Times Higher Education placing Warwick in the world’s top 100.
