It was the first formal event for this exciting new network. The speakers provided rich and diverse understandings of the way in which widening participation is undertaken which led to stimulating and thought provoking discussions. Ann and Nidhi’s presentation, based upon the project findings, provided an Indian perspective on the subject. It was well received and led to discussion of the different ways in which widening participation is understood and addressed in India, the UK, and Ireland. Ann and Nidhi were also able to learn more about specific UK and Irish contexts and aim to pursue the joint learning from the workshop through further collaborative initiatives.</p>
