      <title>Warwick Pre-University Summer School: Tuesday 2 July - Friday 12 July 2019</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Department of Philosophy is excited to announce its participation in the Warwick Pre-University Summer School (Tuesday 2 July - Friday 12 July 2019). The Pre-University Summer School offers students an enriching opportunity to study at the University of Warwick for an exciting ten-night, fully inclusive, residential Summer School.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Philosophy is teaming up with the Departments of Law, Psychology, and Liberal Arts to offer &lt;em&gt;A Taste of Social Sciences&lt;/em&gt;. This is a course aimed at motivated 16-18 year olds who are thinking about studying for a degree in Philosophy or other social sciences and wishing to enjoy a truly memorable summer experience:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Students will enjoy:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;A choice of two courses taught by top Warwick faculty: 'A Taste of Social Sciences' or 'Introduction to Economics and Finance'&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Engaging with like-minded peers from around the world&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Outstanding guest speakers&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Personal effectiveness training, including leadership and communications skills&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Preparing for University in the UK&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Living on the beautiful and self-contained Warwick campus for eight nights&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Spending two nights in London, and a visit to the London School of Economics&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;An informative industry visit&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;Visiting the City of Oxford and an Oxford College&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

      <title>Warwick in London - Philosophy Taster Course: Thursday 25 - Friday 26 October 2018</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Warwick in London have organised a two-day Philosophy Taster Course, taking place on &lt;strong&gt;Thursday 25 - Friday 26 October 2018&lt;/strong&gt;, at the Warwick in London HQ, Stanley Building, 7 Pancras Square, Kings Cross, London N1C 4AG.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The programme offers an opportunity to experience what it is like to study Philosophy at University-level, and will analyse and reflect on fundamental questions arising from philosophical issues and texts. It will also provide hands-on instruction by members of the Philosophy Department to encourage and advance the critical and analytical skills of the participants.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The course is aimed at individuals who are 16 years old and over, and who are undertaking or have previously completed A Levels or equivalent (Key Stage 5). There are no subject criteria, but curiosity about Philosophy and a desire to learn and contribute to study and discussion in this area is essential. The course may also be of interest to students considering studying Philosophy as a Single Honours or Joint Honours degree. Please see link here for further information.&lt;/p&gt;
