      <title>Mentor Exchange: Buddy-Up! Advice and Tips</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Mentor Exchange: Buddy Up! session enlightened our mentors, with lots of discussion around how to manage mentees who intermittently contact you - usually with imperative issues - to likening mentoring to a dance of directive and non-directive approaches.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One of the most significant tips we found was the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;h6&gt;&amp;quot;When mentees are struggling for time, offer a 20minute catch-up to help prioritize&amp;quot;&lt;/h6&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;
This tip enables you to catch up with the mentee and ensure that conversations are succinct, effective, and that the mentee has time for the conversation in-between family, work or other lifestyle commitments. 
&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We have compiled some advice and tips from your fellow mentors who have experienced similar hardships and successes to yourselves. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The sessions allowed us to learn from you and what you would like to see from us. One of these was to be able to &lt;strong&gt;share tips and tricks&lt;/strong&gt;, not only from the perspective of your fellow mentors, but also to discover what mentees found productive.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What can we say? You request, we do it!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Have a peek at the mentoring tips and tricks &lt;strong&gt;compiled by your community, for your community&lt;/strong&gt;, in order to help progress your mentoring relationships.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Sanjiv Patel Steps Down from being Co-Chair of the Steering Committee</title>

&lt;p&gt;We are incredibly thankful for everything he has done as Co-Chair, and pleased that he will continue to be a part of the SteerCo group. Taking up the post in his place will be Gary Lloyd, another experienced and longtime volunteer within the Steering Committee.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Mentoring Checklists</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;When you begin your mentoring relationship with your mentee, it can be challenging to establish priorities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The &lt;a href="https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/wbs/central/corporate-relations/careersplus/wbsmentoring/mentor-area/resources/2022-wbs_mentor_checklist.pdf"&gt;mentoring checklist&lt;/a&gt; specifically catered towards mentors can help with this, and provide pointers to get your mentoring relationship up and running.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As the checklist states, finding common ground with your mentee is one way you can bond - after all, the programme lasts for two years!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, the checklist and other resources in the &lt;a href="https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/wbs/central/corporate-relations/careersplus/wbsmentoring/mentor-area/resources"&gt;Mentor Area&lt;/a&gt; can also serve as a reminder to those whose relationships are ongoing too - to help the process along.       <title>Over 250 registered to celebrate (over) 10 years of WBS Global Mentoring</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Fantastic ... brilliant ... just a couple of the words from attendees on Thursday's event.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This truly was a global event, with attendees and panellists joining from as far as Sydney and Singapore to Delhi, Dubai, Devon and Doncaster ... and so many places inbetween!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Folks online enjoyed getting together in small groups, as did those at The Shard as well as Marcus Dimbley's &amp;quot;Diversity of Thought&amp;quot; ... and the fabulous tip &amp;quot;Think, Write, Share&amp;quot; not to mention the celebratory panel discussion.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The perfect opportunity reconnect and re-engage, as stated by one of our mentors:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&#8220; ..It (the Shard celebration event) was great &amp;ndash; made me feel part of this bigger community&#8221;&lt;/p&gt;
