      <title>In Memoriam: Janet Gardner</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;We regret to announce the recent death of Janet Gardner, an ex-member of Library staff who took early retirement in 2009. Janet had been with the University since 1979 and was well-known and liked across the University. There will be a thanksgiving service to celebrate Janet's life on Friday 27 September at 2.30 pm at St. Mary Magdalene's Church, Vicarage Road, Lillington, Leamington Spa.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>In Memoriam: Adrian Rowe-Evans</title>

He lead an interesting life including fighting in the second World War, flying a Spitfire, travelling to Canada, Ceylon, South East Asia and living in Hong Kong. He died on 7 August 2013 at the age of 90.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>In Memoriam: Edith Alves</title>

The funeral will be at 9.15am on Friday 21 June 2013 at the Charter Chapel, Canley Crematorium. Edith&amp;rsquo;s family have indicated that they would be pleased to see any of Edith&amp;rsquo;s former colleagues at the funeral.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Former Warwick Professor elected to Acad&#233;mie fran&#231;aise</title>
