Looking to Save on Travel? Explore Bus Options to Campus

With the recent increase in fuel costs, we wanted to remind colleagues of the range of bus services available for travelling to and from campus.

Local services provide frequent and reliable links between the University and surrounding areas, including Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa. Several operators, such as National Express Coventry and Stagecoach, run direct routes connecting key locations including the city centre, rail stations and nearby towns.

Some key highlights include:

Direct connections to Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa

Services stopping at the main University bus interchange

A variety of ticket options, including contactless and mobile payment

Discounted termly, monthly and annual passes

We understand that bus travel may not be suitable or accessible for everyone. However, for those able to use these services, it can offer a more cost‑effective and sustainable way to commute. We encourage colleagues to review the available ticket options, as flexible or pay‑as‑you‑go choices may better suit individual travel patterns.

Full details of routes and timetables can be found on our website: <a href="https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwarwick.ac.uk%2Fabout%2Fcampus-journey%2Fmode-of-travel%2Fbuses%2F&data=05%7C02%7CDaniel.Bernal-Sanchez%40warwick.ac.uk%7C8a102049caef41e9d37a08de908e00df%7C09bacfbd47ef446592653546f2eaf6bc%7C0%7C0%7C639107136890418219%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=QziZ0Uk94ti62%2FRapv3pKQZkHyygFk2zTVGiJlDuzCI%3D&reserved=0" title="Original URL: https://warwick.ac.uk/about/campus-journey/mode-of-travel/buses/.
Estates teams help give 90 abandoned bikes new lease of life – with more on the way

The Estates Abandoned Bikes initiative has reached an exciting milestone this month, with 94 bikes already collected and donated to charity.

It marks another strong step in an ongoing effort to make campus safer, tidier and more sustainable, while supporting meaningful social impact beyond the University.

Led by colleagues in Facilities Operations and the Building Fabric core team (known collectively as the Abandoned Bikes Team), the initiative tackles the growing number of unused and forgotten bikes across campus.

To minimise disruption, the University has worked with National Express to introduce additional early morning journeys on existing routes, covering areas previously served by 41 and 42 and providing connections to campus.

Full details of the new and updated services are available [HERE].
