Great Results for our Rowing team!

Great results for our Performance Sport Rowing teams at Wallingford, Oxfordshire last weekend. Finishing 3rd in Open 8+ Band 2, which consisted of so many crews our team will undoubtedly be competing for spaces at Henley Royal Regatta.

On Thursday 12 July we were awarded two national sector awards for our participation programme at Warwick and our reshaping sport campaign in the ‘take a stand award’ in the most recent BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) Conference where Universities from across the UK come together to share, discuss and honour best practice across the sector.

The University of Warwick/Kenilworth Squash Premier Squash League Team took it to another level at Crackley Lane last night. Avenging their first half loss to Birmingham Lions, with a 3-2 victory topped off by a breath-taking performance by Egyptian World no. 3, Ali Farag.

New Outdoor Activity Zone is now officially open

On Monday 9 October, SU Sports Officer Ellie Martin officially opened the new Claycroft Activity Zone - an outdoor sports facility that features exercise and climbing equipment, trampolines, swings and more. Over the summer we worked on both this and a new water-based hockey pitch on Westwood campus, helping to make Warwick Sport's vision for Warwick as the most physically active campus community in the UK by 2020 a reality.

These two projects go hand in hand with our ongoing work to create a new Sport and Wellness Hub, which will serve as the main centre for sporting activity on campus.

Students and Staff at the University of Warwick who wish to join the Sports Centre can now become tourists in their home University gym with the UNIversal Gym Membership. It is valid with Warwick Sport Gym memberships only (starting from £225 per 12month).

On Monday 22 May 2017 the University was awarded the Workplace Wellbeing Charter Mark, following assessment by Coventry City Council, in a number of key areas across the University. The Charter has three categories: Commitment, Achievement and Excellence.

Alice Cobb: From Student to Racer

Archery: BUCS Indoor Championships

It was a pretty intense day at BUCS Indoors for the Archery Club, with 13 people qualified and shooting across four categories.
