Student Competition: Languages Thirst @ Warwick Video Competition

We’d like to invite you to join the Language Video Competition, Languages Thirst @Warwick Video Competition 2019-20 which is organized by the LC and supported by the Arts Faculty. Based on the success of last year, we’d like to run the competition for the 2nd time.

The competition is open to people like you who are currently studying Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese or Russian, no matter which module you are studying (beginner’s or advanced, academic or LLL) and whatever department you are from. What you need to do is to create a short video (less than 3 minutes) to reflect on your language learning experience, explore the culture differences between different countries, or deliver a fun taster session. The primary goal is to promote language learning. You can work individually, or in pairs or threes. The winning videos will be uploaded on the LC’s/SMLC website as open resources and the winner(s) will get a prize.

Please see the online information from last year, together with the winning videos via the following link. I hope you can get some inspiration. We will make some small changes for this year, such as the video submission date and show case date, and update the website shortly.

https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/languagecentre/news/videocomp/information/

You might use the Christmas time to gather some ideas. The online registration will open in week 1 of term 2 and you will be informed once it is ready.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Zhiqiong Chen (zhiqiong.chen@warwick.ac.uk)
