&lt;p&gt;Bal&#225;zs Trencs&#233;nyi is a Professor at the History Department of Central European University, Director of the CEU Institute for Advanced Study in Budapest and co-director of Pasts, Inc. Center for Historical Studies. His main field of interest is the his&#173;tory of modern political thought in East Central Europe. Between 2008 and 2013, he was Principal Investigator of the European Research Council project, &#8220;&lt;em&gt;Negotiating Modernity&#8221;: History of Modern Political Thought in East Central Europe&lt;/em&gt;. He has held fellowships at Centre Marc Bloch, the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, Imre Kert&#233;sz Kolleg, Jena, the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia, and IWM Vienna. He is one of the founders of the Invisible University for Ukraine, CEU's certificate program for Ukrainian students launched in 2022. Among others, he is the author of &lt;em&gt;The Politics of &#8216;National Character&#8217;: A Study in Interwar East European Thought &lt;/em&gt;(Routledge, 2012), and &lt;em&gt;Intellectuals and the Crisis of Politics in the Interwar Period and Beyond &lt;/em&gt;(OUP, 2025); co-author of &lt;em&gt;A&lt;/em&gt; &lt;em&gt;History of Modern Political Thought in East Central Europe, &lt;/em&gt;vols. I-II (OUP, 2016-8); co-editor of &lt;em&gt;Discourses of Collective Identity in Central and Southeast Europe (1775&amp;ndash;1945), &lt;/em&gt;vols. &lt;p&gt;Ralf von den Hoff has been directing the &lt;em&gt;Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies&lt;/em&gt; (FRIAS) since 2022. As a professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Freiburg his research focuses on visual culture studies of ancient Greece and the Roman empire. He was a senior fellow at FRIAS in 2012/13 and at the &lt;em&gt;Morphomata Center for Advanced Studies in the Humanities&lt;/em&gt; at Cologne University in 2018/19 and 2020. Between 2012 and 2024 he directed the interdisciplinary research centre (SFB) &lt;em&gt;Heroes &amp;ndash; Heroizations &amp;ndash; Heroims from Antiquity to Today&lt;/em&gt; at the University of Freiburg, which more deeply rooted his interest in potentials of interdisciplinary research and in dialogues beyond disciplinary borders.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Philipp H&#246;fele is a postdoctoral research fellow within the framework of the &#8220;Young Academy for Sustainability Research&#8221; (YAS) at FRIAS since 2024. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher within the livMatS Cluster of Excellence in Freiburg (2019&amp;ndash;2021) and a DAAD PRIME Fellow at Freie Universit&#228;t Berlin and Pennsylvania State University (2021&amp;ndash;2023). His main areas of research are practical philosophy and ethics, with a historical focus on the 19th and 20th centuries and a systematic focus on environmental philosophy, technology ethics, and the Anthropocene discourse.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

&lt;p&gt;Malene Friis Hansen is an interdisciplinary scholar and practitioner studying human&amp;ndash;other-primate interfaces in Indonesia and Malaysia through methods from Ethology, Ecology, and Ethnography. Since September 2025, she has been a Post doc and an AIAS-AUFF Fellow at the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies, Aarhus University. She holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Copenhagen, and her postdoctoral work has been in Anthropology at Princeton University.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Andreas Roepstorff is Director of the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies and a Professor at the Department of Anthropology at Aarhus University. His research spans anthropology, cognitive science, and neuroscience, with a particular focus on human cognition, culture, and social interaction. His work combines interdisciplinary approaches across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. As Director of AIAS, he works to strengthen international and interdisciplinary research collaboration and develop research talent. His work is widely recognized for bridging scientific disciplines and fostering innovative research environments.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
