ENHANCE Taster Event (UK)

Our second ENHANCE taster event that took place in Coventry UK, 27 February – 8 March 2023, organized by the University of Warwick. The event included a Conference for showcasing humanitarian engineering education and research, titled “Engineering and Science for Deeply Uncertain Times”, project management activities, design and make activities with students, training on sustainable education, educational trips to sustainable communities (e.g. Hockerton housing project) and field trip to the Warwick Crop Centre for sustainable agriculture, horticulture and food security discussions and activities. Almost 40 lecturers from the partner institutions joined the event activities. ENHANCE Training Kit, ENHANCE app and ENHANCE Taxonomy were widely introduced to lecturers. More awareness about innovative pedagogical approaches in humanitarian engineering was raised.

ENHANCE Taster Event (Greece)

An ENHANCE Taster Event took place in Athens Greece 8-20 Sept 2022, organized by the University of West Attica. The event included project management activities, 4 days of seminars and activities for lecturers and 4 days of Humanitarian Engineering Symposium. Almost 40 lecturers from the partner institutions joined the event activities. ENHANCE Training Kit, ENHANCE app and ENHANCE Taxonomy were widely introduced to lecturers. More awareness about innovative pedagogical approaches in humanitarian engineering was raised.

Developing the ENHANCE toolkit

Following our virtual workshops, our team have been working on the development of the ENHANCE Toolkit. This is a set of resources and materials that will help Engineering departments and educators to make updates and improvements to their programmes.
