ESRC Festival of Social Science

Runs from Monday, November 01 to Tuesday, November 30.

This year the festival coincides with the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow. The importance of environmental issues is recognised by the ESRC and the festival has committed to showcasing a substantial variety of events focussing on climate change and environmental social science studies. The University of Warwick will be running 14 events this year – a mix of online, hybrid and in-person on topics from climate change, consent, Covid, identity to childbirth and fake drugs. Study Happy Mindfulness

Mindfulness practice is one of the 5 ways to wellbeing recommended by the NHS. Doing regular mindfulness exercises can help manage daily stress and has impact areas of the brain related to memory retrieval, decision making, and outward attention.

Our free weekly workshops are a great way to try different mindfulness techniques if you are a beginner, and find dedicated space and time for regular practice.

Resonate Festival: Warwick Prize for Women in Translation

Annual Prize Award - The 2021 prize has received 115 entries from 28 languages. The prize launched in 2017 with the aim of addressing the gender imbalance in translated literature and increasing the number of international women’s voices accessible to a British and Irish readership.
