Afrofest XI - The Rebirth
On one night only, we conduct the biggest display of Afro-Caribbean history, culture and experience on campus...
Afrofest XI will raise our voices through song in through choir; convey a total freedom of body, mind and spirit through dance; tell our stories and recall our history through drama; expresses our boldness and pride through fashion; and speak to our hearts and minds through the art of spoken word.
We aim to showcase a touching narrative that addresses cultural and social issues within the diaspora through the lens of Afro-futurism, with emphasis on our identity as 'Children of the Future'.
Join us to witness the rebirth of a legacy, a display of the beauty and complexities within our intricate culture and heritage. In looking to the future, we intend to pay homage to the past and make the most of our present.
