Reading Space
Reading Space is hosted in our Breathing Space and is an event where you can come and take a break from your studies in a calming environment. We encourage you to sit back and do some leisure reading during this event and we will often highlight some of our Leisure Reading Collection as well.
Wild Warwick - Competition
Our campus is home to a huge variety of wildlife and green spaces, yet many do not know that they exist, and we want to change this! We want to encourage people to get outside, to take a break from work/studying, and to learn more about their local environment. We are welcoming artistic submissions for the Wild Warwick competition, which celebrate wildlife on campus. This can be photography, poetry, pottery or any other form of art. The competition closes on December 2nd 2024. Winning submissions will be showcased at an exhibition in January 2025.
Research Refresh
Research Refresh gives PGRs the opportunity to take a break from their work, chat with other researchers, and enjoy some board games, as well as free coffee, cakes and snacks.
These sessions are also a great opportunity to network with other researchers, discuss your research, and to take a break so that you can return to your work refreshed and relaxed. Drop in at any time during the event and stay as long as you like.

Survivor Sanctuary Peer Support Sessions
Survivor Sanctuary is a peer support group for anyone affected by sexual misconduct. Peer support sessions are now running at Warwick, every fortnight on Thursdays. There will be arts and crafts, homemade treats and refreshments in a calming space, hosted by caring volunteers. Remember, there is always support available through our Report and Support team.

Diversity Dialogues
Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled.
The topic for this Diversity Dialogues session is Festivals of Light and is led by Dr Gurnam Sing, Buddhist Faith Adviser. Gurnam volunteers as a Sikh Faith Adviser at the Warwick Chaplaincy.
Dr Gurnam Singh is an activist researcher, writer, and educator. His work is dedicated to highlighting and disrupting systems and mechanisms of power, privilege and violence that lead to human suffering and inequity. He is a honorary Associate Professor of Sociology, University of Warwick and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (FRSA). Dr Singh has published on issues related to social justice, anti-racism and decolonisation. Prior to entering academia, he worked as a professional social worker and community activist. In more recent times his work has sought to connect issues of coloniality, capitalism and climate emergency and in particular the role of education.

Black British Pioneers: Now & Then
The arts have always been a vessel for self-expression across the ages: a tool for remembrance, community building, joy and resistance. This film programme is a celebration of the Black British Pioneers within performance and visual arts, showcasing archival works as well as contemporary films and holding space for discussions between curators, archivists and storytellers.

Café Church - What does it mean to be a reconciling presence? Why does it matter? And what difference could it make?
Today we welcome Emma Crick de Boom, Reconciliation Enabler, who is part of the Coventry Diocesan staff team and Archbishop Justin’s Reconciliation Ministry Team.
She will share with us how reconciling habits can focus how we hold ourselves and influences the culture in the groups that we belong to. Workshop Wednesday: Global Light Procession Prop Making Workshop 4
It’s time to celebrate our global community with ‘One World Warwick’! In this fourth and final prop making workshop, you can join artist, Naoibh McNamee to finish off your props and costumes before taking part in the Global Light Procession at 5pm that will weave its way through central campus accompanied by student musicians. As part of the build-up, there are also opportunities to grab a hot drink, get your face-painted and take part in the procession rehearsals.

The Puppini Sisters: 20th Anniversary Tour

Annie McCormick has been a priest for over 25 years in the Church of England. Originally from Lincolnshire she has worked in a variety of roles; Mental Health Chaplain, Hospital chaplain and as a Parish priest.
Annie’s interests lie in creative writing and poetry, learning British Sign language and in walking and nature. In particular she loves searching for springs and ancient wells. Currently she is exploring a theology of water in Biblical texts and early Christian writings, texts she believes are important to reflect on in light of our need to address climate change.

We want to set more ambitious targets which encompass all of sustainability and incorporate views across the University, including education, research, operations. International Students’ Day Celebration
Modhurima Islam, 3rd year Economics student, University of Warwick has been accepted to attend the International Student Day Celebration in the House of Lords on Monday, 18 November. This is organised by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) which aims to provide a voice for international students in parliament and inform responses to policy proposals that affect the international education sector.
The invitation has been offered in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the local community via Warwick Volunteer as well as her role in helping to support other international students as one of our Ambassadors.
