The University of Warwick’s highly successful second Welcome Week was delivered between Saturday 21 and Sunday 29 September 2019. The Welcome Team are very grateful to all colleagues, student societies and clubs who helped to make our new students feel at home last term.
A full report on Welcome Week 2019 is now available . The report provides analysis and evaluation of Welcome 2019, with insights gained from student and staff surveys and digital sources such as CRM, live chats, webpages and the Welcome Timetable app.
The report shows a sustained high performance against the core objectives agreed by the Warwick Welcome Steering Group, and echoes the sentiments of satisfied students and their reassured parents. There were new challenges: keeping the momentum and motivation from that first year, adapting the project from initiation and development to business as usual, building an almost entirely new team and redeveloping the Timetable app. But there were also new achievements, as Welcome 2019 delivered an even bigger, broader programme of events.
The Welcome Project continues to grow and develop, and the report also outlines areas for improvement and expansion. It is hoped that the recommendations in this report will offer significant improvements on the experience in 2020, both for new students and also for our colleagues involved in the planning and delivery of Welcome activities.
The Welcome Team will be in touch with Welcome Representatives later this term to begin planning for Welcome Week 2020. If you have any questions, please contact us at welcometeam at warwick dot ac dot uk.
