Anna works as a Teaching Fellow at the Centre for Lifelong Learning, who has 14 continuous years of experience in Social Care, working in a variety of Adults Teams within Local Authority statutory services.

As an Adults Social Worker, she has had experience of working within a range of community and residential settings for older adults with dementia and physical needs; adults with learning disabilities; adults with physical disabilities and their carers.

She also has also worked as a Senior Specialist Carers Worker, providing services to families of Adults who have a mental health diagnosis and are undergoing treatment.

Her particular areas of interest are critical perspectives in relation to Personalisation; mental capacity and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). Anna is qualified as a Best Interests Assessor in 2015 which means she works as one of six specialist DoLS assessors for a Local Authority’s dedicated DoLS Team, working in general and mental health hospitals and a variety of residential settings.
