Bernadette Curran

Bernadette joined the University of Warwick in 2019 as a Senior Teaching Fellow and Course Director for the Degree Apprenticeship in Social Work. She is a qualified and registered social worker and has been a practitioner and manager in a range of social work settings in the UK and abroad. She has a keen interest in teaching and learning, and is a fellow of the HEA. Whilst in direct practice she acted as a practice teacher both on and off-site and provided tuition at the Open University. Prior to joining the University of Warwick she was employed by the University of Northampton were she taught and led on a range of under and postgraduate degree programmes. Bernadette has a keen interest in asylum and immigration, workforce development, child care practice and service user participation. She is HCPC registered
