My current role as Director for Initial Teacher Training (FE and Skills) requires me to strategically lead, quality assure and manage a partnership of nine colleges which deliver a range of ITT and Skills for Life programmes. These programmes ultimately lead to qualified teacher status in the FE and skills sector.

Prior to this, I worked in Further Education for 23 years. My last role was Head of Centre at a large college in the East Midlands. I was required to strategically lead and operationally manage one of three main campuses. I worked effectively with key personnel to manage all aspects of the estate and facilities and to coordinate activity linked to curriculum and quality.

Prior to this, I held the post of Director for Business and Management in a large college in North Warwickshire, which included Professional Development Programmes and Initial Teacher Training. I was responsible for the recruitment and deployment of staff within my area, budgetary control, quality assurance, quality improvement and curriculum design and delivery.

I started my career in 1991 as a Lecturer in Computing.
