Jim has a background in teaching and the use of technology to support learning. He has previously worked as a senior lecturer in Further and Higher Education as well as acting as a regional eLearning adviser. He has been at the University of Warwick since 2012 and before joining CLL he worked as a Senior Academic Technologist supporting the central University of Warwick Moodle and Mahara service. His current role involves supporting CLL students and staff with their use of technology to help enhance the learning experience. He is also a member of the CLL Student Support team and manages a team of student Digital Skills Mentors who provide peer technology support.
He has a particular interest in online and blended learning and the use of technology for improving engagement in face-to-face sessions. Jim has a PGCE (Further, Adult & Higher Education) and MA in Education. He has also been a Fellow of the HEA since 2010.
