Jackie Williams initially trained as a secondary school drama, French, and outdoor education teacher.
Following her MA in Counselling she has worked professionally as a counsellor since 1987. She initially worked for 6 years in NHS community health settings, working with drug, alcohol and HIV services; and then moved into Higher Education providing, managing and developing Student and Staff Counselling services.
In 2013 Jackie lectured on the PGdip/MA integrative Psychotherapy at UCLAN and developed a keen interest in ‘Compassion Fatigue’. She has authored “A parent’s guide to depression” and “e-learning in universities” for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.
In her spare time Jackie enjoys walking, travelling, reading, and watching rugby union.
