Penny has worked in education and training within the FE and Skills Sector for over twenty years. She has developed, managed and taught on a range of educational programmes, with the focus being on engaging and motivating learners from a variety of educational backgrounds, including adults with poor mental health; young offenders; pupils excluded from school and young parents. Within these programmes she taught English and communication; PSHE and health studies.
Upon commencing at The University of Warwick in 2005, she has been involved in the development of 'continuing professional development' programmes for FE teachers working with 'younger learners' before moving into teaching the full range of teacher training programmes across the sector. She has taught on the generic and contextualised programmes; the face to face and the blended learning teacher training programmes. She is an experienced and committed teacher who is passionate about education and training.
