|Gu Wei (Will) is registered as a student at the University of Warwick on the Enterprise Research Fellowship Scheme 2006/07. He is being sponsored as a delegate on the programme by the Shanghai Municipal Government with a period of study commencing on 31 August 2006 and ending on 15 February 2007.
He works in Shanghai Bailian Investment Co Ltd, which belongs to the Bailian Group in China which is the biggest retail enterprise in the country. It has six public companies and more than 7,000 stores in 25 provinces of China. These comprise department stores, supermarkets, chain stores, shopping centres, realty, etc. It has more than 50,000 employees.
