1. Formative assessment

Select one of the 'next steps' activities from the online lectures and share your response in the forum thread entitled Formative Assessment.
 

2. Summative assessment (please ensure you are following the correct assignment brief for your module i.e. CE925 or CE938)

CE925 (Working in Information 10 credit) Case Study (1 x 2500 words; 100% weighting)
Select one area of career information provision. This could include but is not confined to: the management of the information team; information strategy; a career information interview; a career information group work; a non-mediated usage of the career information room; a usage of an online service such as a visit to a page of occupational profiles or a designed virtual learning experience.

  • Describe the areas selected and provide a brief rational for choice.
  • Select any two career information learning theories and design methods of evaluating each area in terms of the user’s career information learning.
  • Undertake the evaluation.
  • Make recommendations grounded in this evaluation regarding the future evolution of the information provision.

Provide further background information on the area selected using a 1 page appendix (e.g. screenshot, summary of interview, group work session plan). Selection of career information provision area can be discussed in more detail with the Warwick module leader.

 

CE938 (Career Information 20 credit) Case Studies (2 x 2500 words each; 100% weighting)
Select two* areas of career information provision for each case study. This could include but is not confined to: the management of the information team; information strategy; a career information interview; a career information group work; a non-mediated usage of the career information room; a usage of an online service such as a visit to a page of occupational profiles or a designed virtual learning experience.

  • Describe the areas selected and provide a brief rational for choice.
  • Select any two career information learning theories and design methods of evaluating each area in terms of the user’s career information learning.
  • Undertake the evaluation.
  • Make recommendations grounded in this evaluation regarding the future evolution of the information provision.

*Please note, if you have already completed CE925, then only one case study is required.
 

Final points
Word limits must be adhered to within a 10% leeway and work over/under this will be penalised. Coursework will be assessed against the learning outcomes described in the module specification and postgraduate assessment criteria. The course guide to referencing (e.g. citation style, use of reference list and bibliography) must be used. The assignment must be submitted using the the online submission system. You will be invited to give overall feedback on the module as part of this. Links to all these elements are available in the online student handbook in the student course space.
