Getting started


Overview

The main focus of this module is on the creative integration of theory and practice in career development learning. In addition to the residential, the teaching materials consist of online coursework, the forum, a core reading pack and an assignment. In the online space, you will find narrative-assisted slides, pdf documents, independent activities and forum exercises. Tutorial support is available to all.

Saying hello in the forum
The forum is used thoughout the module to enable informal communication, responses to exercises and formative assessment. It is our space and only module registrants and staff can see our posts. As a first step, you are asked to introduce yourself briefly in the forum now.
 
Module reading pack
There is a module reading pack provided with this module containing all the core readings. The titles are shown in bold in the reading list. You should receive the pack durng the residential. Please contact career.studies@warwick.ac.uk if any problems.

Typical progress through the module
Month 1: say hello on the forum and reading
Month 2: participate in formative assessment activity
Month 3: arrange a tutorial
Month 4: further reading
Month 5: completion of assignment
