Conventionally, accounting is divided into two sorts – financial accounting and management accounting. We will consider both aspects in this module, so the first step is to discover the difference between the two.
Make a list of the different groups of people you can think of who need financial information relating to your activities. Think quite widely about this and include those who need information about your University as a whole, not just your service.
Turn your list into a table, with a second column which summarises briefly why these groups are interested in this information.
