Help plan support for the development of English and maths
The Education and Training Foundation is seeking your views on how it can help you develop your learners’ skills.
Why consult now?
The Education and Training Foundation has an overarching remit to improve professionalism and standards in the education and training sector. The Foundation’s central responsibility is to ensure learners benefit from the development of a well-qualified, effective and up-to-date workforce supported by good leadership, management and governance.
The Foundation is in the process of generating a Strategic Plan for the next three years and a more detailed update to the current delivery plan for 2014-2015. Fundamental to the Foundation's principles is to engage with the sector and to draw on robust evidence when deciding on future programmes of work. The development of learners’ English and maths skills, and the development of the workforce who support learners, are national priorities. Therefore the Foundation is keen to learn from the sector how they can best support teaching and learning providers over the next few years.
How to take part
You can help shape future support by undertaking one of two short e-surveys.
Practitioner/manager survey: aimed at gathering the views of English, maths and vocational practitioners and managers who support the development of learners’ English and maths.
Strategic leader survey: aimed at senior management teams of education and training providers.
A free webinar will be held on Wednesday 19 March (1.30-2.30pm) so that you can take part in a discussion around the issues covered in the survey. Anyone with an interest in workforce development/CPD for those developing English and maths is invited to take part.
To register email Jo Byrne, project administrator, emCETT, at email@example.com
