English Enhancement programme

The English Enhancement programme is a suite of training options designed to enable teachers in all sections of the further education sector to rise to the challenge of teaching GCSE English Language.

The Education and Training Foundation have developed five training pathways which are designed to meet different needs in the sector, and there are events scheduled, or it is possible for organisations to run their own training for groups of staff. Anyone in the sector is eligible for the programme if they are currently employed by an SFA/EFA-funded institution and training places cost £100 per delegate.

WMCETT has a Regional English Specialist, Catriona Mowat, who can give you further advice and guidance. See here for more information, or the Education and Training Foundation's website here.
