Aims for Year 5

WMCETT changed its approach to formulating the aims for each of the Priority Areas from Year 3 onwards. Objectives are now identified within themes across all areas.

The following are the activities planned relating to WBL in 2011-12:

Information, Advice and Guidance
Raise awareness with WBL providers and the Third Sector about HE learning opportunities in conjunction with regional provider networks. Identify potential HE progression routes for work-based tutor development and disseminate across the West Midlands.

Courses
Develop a series of accredited and non-accredited CPD activities and extend the take up of PTLLS and CBED DTLLS courses

Networks
Develop links with the West Midlands work-based providers' online community through www.WBL-Shots.org.uk (now defunct) with podcasts made by WMCETT Priority Area Co-ordinators

We will also seek to bid to take part in relevant projects that may arise throughout the year.
