Staying Safe in a Virtual World

Focus on eSafety, Safeguarding and the Prevent agenda work with students and trainees

Date: Friday, April 22
Venue: Loughborough College, Radmoor Road, Loughborough, LE11 3BT
Time: 0930 – 1500

The purpose of this FREE event is to show and share practice on how technology can be used effectively to support the eSafety, Safeguarding and Prevent agendas. It is aimed at anyone who works in a college or any other training environment with post-16 students or trainees and is concerned about these issues.

Loughborough College experts will demonstrate their methods for supporting students to stay safe online in the virtual world.

Other attendees will then give brief presentations to share their own approaches to one or more aspects of eSafety, Safeguarding and Prevent.

After a free networking lunch participants will then work together on preparing CPD or student sessions they could deliver in their own organisation around these subjects.

All participants will have access to an online discussion forum to share resources and ideas afterwards, and will be supported to continue working together and to attend a showcase event in the autumn to demonstrate new developments.
