WMCETT Change Exchange networks

WMCETT has won a bid to the Learning Skills Information Service (LSIS) as part of their Regional Response Fund project.

The Fund supports improvement needs in the further education and skills sector brought about as a result of changes to funding mechanisms and allocations. The projects which were successful had to enable providers across a region to deal collectively with operational, funding and planning challenges which were set by new government agendas.

WMCETT’s bid was to set up a network of Change Exchanges across the West Midlands. The Change Exchanges will provide links between emerging sub regional strategic partnerships of lifelong learning and training providers for economic growth. This will help to realise mutual objectives and align plans and delivery strategies.

The aim is for shared information between lifelong learning and training providers, LEPs and other data and funding sources to inform organisational and regional lifelong learning and training plans.

As part of this process the WMCETT website is hosting an online resource file of relevant documents.

The following are resources to support Change Exchange Networks with information on economic growth and learning and development.

Resources have been divided into national and regional resources to set the context for economic growth within the lifelong learning sector and how it translates into regional economic development.

The national resources have been sub divided into:
Government strategies and reports
Education and training resources
National organisations

The local resources have been sub divided into:
Economic development resources
Education and training resources

Where appropriate these resources are generic but whilst these resources are current on 8 April 2011 they may alter after that date.
