New series of workshops for teachers of maths in FE and skills

The NCETM is running a series of one-day professional development courses for teachers, tutors and trainers working in all branches of the FE and training sector to increase the workforce’s capacity and confidence to teach mathematics courses up to Level 2.

The workshops, commissioned and funded by The Education and Training Foundation, run up until June 2015.

All workshops (from 10 am to 4 pm) are free to attend, but numbers are limited. There is booking information here .

The aim is to increase the workforce’s capacity and confidence to teach mathematics up to Level 2.

The subjects of the workshops include:

* Deepen your understanding of Number

* Vocational Maths Vitalisers – aimed at vocational teachers who are supporting the mathematical development of their vocational learners

* Maths Vitalisers for the Secure Estate (prisons, young offender institutions…)

* Taking GCSE Mathematics deeper.

This series of workshops is funded by The Education and Training Foundation.

All workshops are free to attend, but numbers will be limited.
