Formal feedback

More formal feedback is useful at the end of the mentoring relationship. This could take a variety of forms. For example:

  • A questionnaire
  • Asking the mentee to write a short piece about the experience
  • Asking the mentee to draw a picture or a diagram to represent their experience of being mentored
  • Asking the mentee to describe the perfect mentoring experience
  • Asking for feedback on things that should/n’t be changed about this mentoring experience
  • Asking the mentee to describe what they have gained as a result of being mentored
